Sectional air handling unit for potentially explosive atmospheres

The OPTIMA EX air handling units are a series of devices designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. These units have been designed as an advanced mechanical ventilation solution for industrial facilities with an increased risk of explosion.

OPTIMA EX units comply with EU Directive 2014/34/EU and standards PN-EN ISO 80079-36:2016-07 and PN-EN 1127-1:2011, ensuring compliance with essential health and safety requirements. The units incorporate components designed for use in explosive atmospheres, including direct-drive fan assemblies for use with a frequency converter, flexible connections made of antistatic material, and specially designed multi-leaf dampers with a tightness class of 2 or 4 —in accordance with EN 1751—and filters designed in compliance with ATEX. As a result, the units are ideal for ventilating spaces where a potentially explosive atmosphere may be present, with the possibility of use in explosion hazard zones 1, 2, 21, and 22—depending on the selected technical solutions.
