Continuous Operation

Bez przerwy w ruchu #1

We regularly share our latest installations and recently completed HVAC projects. Today, however, we would like to take a moment to look back with pride.

We are going back 13 years, when we supplied six OPTIMA STANDARD Air Handling Units to the Wipak Polska packaging manufacturing facility.

More than a decade has passed since the units were commissioned, yet they continue to operate reliably and without interruption. What is the reason behind their long-term performance? The answer is simple: the AHUs were properly engineered and correctly selected for the application, seamlessly integrated into the building’s ventilation system, and—most importantly—regularly maintained throughout their service life.

How Have the AHUs Performed in Daily Operation?

The true value of any ventilation system becomes evident after years of continuous operation—especially in a demanding industrial environment.

The AHUs serve production areas, office spaces, and ATEX (Ex) hazardous zones, where reliable operation and compliance with strict safety requirements are essential.

We asked Marcin Szewczuk, Maintenance Engineer at Wipak Polska, to share his experience:

“Clima Gold Air Handling Units have been operating in our facility since its commissioning in 2013. They serve production areas, office spaces, and ATEX (Ex) hazardous zones, where enhanced safety requirements apply. The units are equipped with an automatic control system and fully integrated with our Building Management System (BMS), allowing us to adjust operating parameters in real time and significantly simplifying day-to-day operation.

Due to the nature of our manufacturing processes, the AHUs undergo preventive maintenance twice a year, performed by an authorised Clima Gold service team. This maintenance schedule, combined with the regular replacement of air filters, has proven to be fully effective. In addition, we continuously monitor the performance of the units through the BMS and carry out weekly visual inspections of the rooftop installations.

After 13 years of operation, I can confidently say that the Air Handling Units have performed exceptionally well. They have operated continuously without any major failures. The high-quality components used in their construction have proven particularly valuable given the demanding rooftop environment and significant temperature fluctuations. In the coming years, we plan to replace several key components, such as the frequency inverters, as part of our preventive maintenance strategy. Overall, however, the units continue to perform extremely well.”
